Just had a nice long chat with Harvey as Voicey was with a customer. what a really nice bloke. they are definitely going to be involved in any of my proposed purchases. Thanks again for the heads up guys.
Would they not budge on the price? Discs? It never ceases to amaze me how dealerships can't agree to a deal or at least meet in the middle. Shame as you are a serious buyer..Looks like this one isn't the car for me. back to the drawing board and will give Richard a call.
As I said, it's their loss. There will be another around the corner. They checked the discs and advised there’s about a year left in them so they wouldn’t change them. I offered 40k as the car stands and I get the service done myself. They suggested they have people viewing this weekend so think it will sell. Either way that’s my offer factoring service costs, new discs/pads/clutch due in the coming year.
Plenty more fish
, if they ring me next week the offer is going down. I am slightly peeved as it’s almost the perfect car for me, the only differences would be yellow calipers and stitch. Aside it being a Strad.Ring them in a month and say,
"remember me" ala Harry Enfield.
It does look lovely but it’s got to be a facelift for me.I know it's older and not a facelift but the blue one Richard Grace has looks lovely.

Hi, could I ask if you mean MC shifts are in the doldrums of GT in general, I have been looking at buying this https://www.sytner.co.uk/sytner-sel...rati-gran-turismo-v8-sport-2dr-mc-auto-shift/ but it is only the second car I have looked at. I don’t mind waiting till next summer to get one, but love the speck and the age / mileage is right and am concerned that I may not find another one to the same speak. My hart is saying buy, my head is saying wait.Price matches I'm afraid, they are in the doldrums at the moment. Dealers are knocking these out cheap simply because there is a limited market and they can't shift them. The last facelift at silvercrest took one year to sell! Check the clutch wear as this car is at the mileage where it might need a clutch. You could buy Geoff's which has had a recent clutch and would give you a £10k saving on this car or mine even cheaper with recent clutch too but more mliles.

That’s a lovely looking car - and I particularly like the interior... if it’s what you are looking for, I would say go for it
Thanks, Oliver, for the last 7 year I have been paying my dues driving seven-seaters. Now I want something special for around £50k. I will be using it daily, and will still be doing the school run every morning, which means sitting in traffic for half an hour. Hence thinking an auto would be best for me. I want it to be a 2013 facelift on (because of the interior ) and something with low miles, as I will be doing 8 to 10 k a year in it. Love grey and blue with light interiour, however not sure on the exterior carbon pack. Is their any must have options that I shod be looking for, skyhook etcNot a proper shift right. Not the shift sense. Depends what your after. Looks lovely. Others will give a more valid point of view.
All the best in you search
Thanks Oliver, thanks for the advice it is very much appreciated. Originally I wanted carbon, but after looking at white on black, I thought the carbon took from the lines, but this may be because I fell in love with the grey one. I think I need to see some more before I commit. One thought, is skyhook more trouble than its worth, I did see a review from Harry Metcalfe saying he wouldn’t speck it again as it feels loose it low speeds.Sounds like you’ve earnt your toy. There does seam to be quite a few autos about. The price seams a little steep to me but I’m sat here without a car as I’m being tight lol. Biggest thing I’ve learnt here is get it independently inspected, regardless coming from a dealer. For me I want carbon everywhere possible in an ideal world but that’s me.
