Would have been a crazy bargain buy at £5.5k, so no surprise that was below the reserve so didn’t win it.

I impulse bought a Coupe (4200) on eBay while drunk. Sight unseen from the Welsh coast, with no MOT. It was. a...'brave'* choice. Still, worked out okay but based on the maths from another thread here it cost me about £2/mile over 5 months so not the worst thing I've ever done.

Bought the my Silver Giulietta after suggesting to a pregnant now Mrs Z that we would need a 4 seater classic to go to shows with baby, it was late at night and after a drink or three. Next day a drive up to Leyland to collect what turned out to be a little belter

I think it got bid up to about 7½ in the end, but still below reserve. Does make you wonder what the seller does next in these circumstances.
