yes that's right

I've just started a college course at Herts Uni for "Car Maintenance & Servicing" (yes really). 3 hrs a week (1hr homework), for 12 weeks. The workshop is actually state of the art with 8 brand new ramps, and a certified 2011 MOT station.....

Anyway, as such, you should all bring your Maseratis to me for your servicing from now on - bear in mind it might take a few weeks to get the car back to you as I'm not sure what order we're going to cover the important stuff, but it's OK - I don't mind.

My hourly rate will increase hour on hour, as the longer it takes the less likely I am to get it done properly, so the more I'll need to be compensated for my time... I'll start at £25 and double it indefinitely I think...

I like your thinking Adam, so I'll create a viewing area where all you can view is a montage wall of Kim Kardasian -it will keep the mind off the car and clock

I might offer a major service for £500 aswell - it's exactly the same as the minor, but I clean the car

It would be funnier if Andy signed up as he has said before he has never held a spanner in his life.

I must admit i don't let anyone near my Snap On has cost me a fortune.
Some people think i treasure it more than my kids!

you should treasure your snap on phil, the specialist where i worked at, the tools were all snap on and there was everything you needed in the tool chest and also the tool chest was snap on as well, must have been aroun 18-20k's worth. Really good tools though and you get a lifetime guarantee.

My tool chest is very nice Adam i have one of 12 in the uk its a Mercedes McClaren F1 box not that im a McClaren fan i just liked it is silver and black and knowing not many people would have the same.
I just like to be different but it realy is nice.
I bet my tool kit is worth considerably more than my Maserati if i put it up forsale.
How crazy is that?

It is frighening when you tot up the value invested in good tools, when I refocussed my busines about three years ago I set about replacing all of my tools as most were suffering from 25 years wear (or more)...

I set asside a buget of £6k initialy and I expect I've trippled that since. I probably load £8-10k's worth into the van every day I go out; there's a £2k Mosa magiweld kit for starters I couldn't function without!

It's all the little stuff that clobbers you I bought a small pair of precission side snips last month even with a good discount they cost £42!!!!
