I love this story.

But it's brown!

Other than that, what a story.

Always thought the DB4 was the prettiest DB Aston. The article says it could be worth millions. Not sure about that really, but it deserves saving.

A friend took me to see his old employer 2 years back (used to be a breakers yard in the 70s), couldn't believe what he had stashed in various out buildings, all in various states of disrepair db4 could have been a 5, 70s DBS's, I remember a couple of those inside and one sitting outside with driver's door ajar and windows down! , a 70s vantage , virage, interceptor and etype , there was more but those spring mind. Had some sort of 60's convertible Alfa too, he kept emphising that they were all manual cars, nice bloke, would have loved to have taken plenty photos but didn't want to come across as too cheeky!
The db4/5 he bought to break back in the day.

The first of my proper cars to get the full ‘restoration’ treatment with no compromise and I’ve never regretted it. It was also a barn find but a hard disc failure means I don’t have any ‘before’ photos. I’ve loads if the restoration process but none that show the condition when bought it. One previous owner. Almost a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I’d love that 4.

Sorry for photo duplication. Can’t figure out how to stop it.

My mum always wanted a yellow Lagonda but was too cautious - I learnt from that caution and ended up with a Maserati!
