I've seen some Audi/Porsche/VW TPMS ECU's on eBay for about 20 quid that look identical to the Maserati/Ferrari/Bentley ones, I'm going to take a punt on one since mine still doesn't work and two suppliers of seccy-hand ones have let me down recently.

Try Jag XK12 late eighties, ATE rears, the look very similar!

You just pull off the old rubber extension piece and swop them over, there quite a tight fit though..

Then you can sell the new short extensions on eBay for 50 quid each as they fit lots of Ferrari engines!

You owe me a drink there mate:cool:

Earlier in the thread someone cites a starter motor equivalent..
Is there a an alternative part for a 4200 starter motor...?

Looks like the starters get used in 4200s, QPs, GranCabrios, GTs..4.2s & 4.7s... a wide range of M cars...!

Part numbers 198927 and 198928 are the left and right cam cover gaskets for the 4200. £34 each for the Maserati items from a well known supplier, however the same part number for the F430 is exactly the same part but only £22 and £30 respectively. Why the difference between Ferrari and Maserati or left-right bank I didn't want to ask. But I did ask if they were the same and they confirmed. I shall confirm again later when I come to change them.

Do you mean gaskets? They look identical in the exploded drawings!

I recently bought from Superformance...these gaskets and a few odds & sods...
Ive not seen the "we'll get back to you with an invoice when we've calculated shipping" tac before..
It was a not too scary £58 ish before VAT..an indicated £70 ish with..

They followed up with the shipping update...£116 !
Oh dear...they over charged me shipping but the real problem is they were asking Ferrai money for Maserati parts...
Needless to say, they sorted it out !
You got to watch that....:D
