Some folks do an initial shearing, in fact...couple of weeks to a couple of months old...

Biscuit, the preemie, did not make it. Lost her about 5a local time; will be laid to rest near Aretha. Cleo the GSD had adopted her, and is taking the loss worse than anyone...will try and get a pic posted of the pair once saved from the phones.

Thanks, Phil...it's tough after feeding every two hours since late Tuesday night. But the mother rejected her outright, so we knew viability was in question.
