One of those things you wonder why you never bought before. Even used it to wire the house sound systems so I could see the bloody inputs at the back of the amp!

It’s not just me, I bought one plus:
Suction vice
Recharging lamp
Soldering iron
And a few other odds and sods

Picked these up today with a digital Vernier calliper for £7.99 whilst I was at it:

Was tempted by the suction vice and the recharging lamp too. If I had seen Conaero's post first I probably would have.

I don't want to go and look at what I paid for my Snap On ones but those are exceptional value.

My lidl trips are like

In through the door , she's looking at vegetables but it's too late, I'm on my way to the man section

Hire shops must hate aldi & lidl , stuff is that cheap it's cost effective to buy it even if you'll only ever use it once

Indeed. I bought a set of Aldi T hex and torx. A year being used daily, a couple of heads sheared. Went and bought Halfords Pro/lifetime warranty, sheared one of those already.

It’s always the GT/QP undertray torx that gets it first

That is a 2000 lb ft gauge. You might imagine from the photo it’ll fit on your 1/2” ratchet but it won’t. That thing is the size of Ron Jeremy’s knob.
