Oh no! little feckers, you would think your car would be safe on your driveway, but I bet these guys do this all the time, I bet 5% or something like that of car are left unlocked.

Still makes you feel violated though, luckily your lap top was not in the case!!!

You going to call the police?....oh wait, they wont be interested will they!

Sorry to hear this Loz!

Easily done... I had a fright last night as I was wondering back down the drive after chaining up the gates and looked through the window of the Beemer to see the Sat-Nav missing and the door not quite shut and unlocked. I raced into the house and up the stairs, woke up the mrs and asked her if she'd taken the sat-nav out of the car.
She had, but hadn't locked the car or even closed the door properly because she had her hands full :hammer:

Exactly that with me Dan , got out the car , grabbed me phone fags and lighter , oh and my fish and chips , was juggling carrying it all and then what with trying to unlock the front door meant i most probably forgot to turn round and blip the alarm what a dummy:drunk:

Just think Loz, they may have tried your car 50 times over the past year, and you may have had more expensive stuff in it....if it was locked, they would have then damaged the car prising it open, so you may have been lucky.

What I would do is claim on your house and contents insurance, oh and the laptop was in the case yes????????????....if you know what I mean????????????

Personal opinion - you shouldnt HAVE to lock your car. I know thats the ideal, but really, whether it was locked or not, they were up to no good checking! My mate told me at the weekend he had four cars and a work van done in one night. The little ****** smashed windows on them all (two on one car) and went through the glove box looking for Sat-Navs. As it happens, he doesnt have one so they got nothing.

Luckily, the little sht cut himself of one of the windows and left a tiny drop of blood on an envelope. DNA test, bosh, ****** caught. Turned out to be a 14 y/o kid. Did it at 3am too. Who doesnt know where their 14 y.o is at 3am?!

Anyway, short of it is, they may well catch them Loz. People are creature of habit, they'll get them eventually. Karma.

I know you wrote that in jest Matt, but I'm amazed how many poeple do stuff like that! It makes my blood boil as its deemed to be the victimless crime. Ultimately we all pay for it in higher premiums.....car insurance is up 30% in three months and people wonder why!

Same goes for me with the Massers Frank , but the Merc along with the van are my work horses, Mercs full of work related stuff ,was full of tools in the boot aswell earlier in the day but i had dropped them off at another job we started , so that was lucky , dont and cant blame anyone other than myself really , i ought to know better , rushing in just knackered and starving after a hard day and gagging for a cuppa , my mind was elsewhere

Just had a call from the bank apparently transactions have been going since 2.37am they frozen everything untill its sorted , **** that'll cause some confusion for a day or two

all this chip n pin rubbish that they introduced...its easier now to cheat then before...all you need is the chip because it has all the information on it where as before that wasnt the case
