I've got some BS going on with insurance at the moment
I'm a named driver on my wife's policy , 2017 we were hit hard from behind by 2t of jaguar , I successfully claimed for injury.
2019 I dropped my son off at uni, on the way back I stopped at a roundabout , guy behind didn't
**** me , all on dashcam
My insurance provided a solicitor , I'd just about got over the back injury when the 2nd crash set it off again, you don't bounce as well at 60
His insurance admit full liability , then I find out we're both insured with the same company and I'm using a solicitor they use to sue them, great
My wife doesn't claim on her insurance, notification only , they fix her car
Roll on 9 months and I get a letter which basically says we dont believe you to be at fault but as we are unable to recover monies from the third party insurer this is a fault claim, case closed
So I ring them, they're not happy paying damages despite a doctors report so because of this they're not paying for anything as they consider it all one claim and she's lost ncb.
I ask how they couldn't recover payment from the 3rd party when the 3rd party is them
The reply was, we have 2 teams who act for each party then decide the outcome , so employees who don't want to lost their jobs decide the outcome between them , doesn't seem entirely impartial
I think this is BS because
A : She never claimed on her insurance they just paid out.
B : My claim is nothing to do with her claim so surely they can't lump them together and not pay for anything, what if there'd been other passengers in the car
C :They admitted full liability
I now have a fault claim against my name when they admit I wasn't at fault and it wasn't even my policy.
******* insurance companies
