I did as others advised. Did a pull on their website of my documents 3 to 4 weeks before renewal. Without clearing cookies did quotes on 3 or 4 others. Aviva LV nor Adrian Flux provided quotes for the GT, just covering the BMW and FIAT Spider.
Let them stew as advised.
Admiral came in with a small increment from last year including house cover. No one else came near.
I was expecting a hike from initial loss leader year
Cookies worked.

Now cleared down
Tried this and also started looking 4 weeks ahead of the existing insurance expiry date. But what you have illustrated is how inconsistent these lot are. When I notified them I wouldnt be extending it was only then that they said lets see what they can do to bring the price down. Needless to say I told them to foxtrot oscar on a point of principle. They just dont deserve a second chance.

Was paying around £1400 for 3 cars with Aviva, the renewal quote was lower at £1200 but now Admiral came in at £850. It pays to chop and change. I also moved my home insurance and saved a ton on that. Stripped out all duplicated insurances and went with the cheapest, the only reason I have it is to satisfy the mortgage company.
