Thanks, are they active or passive sensors?.
If active I guess ignition must be on when testing?

It might be possible to get a signal from a passive coil being passed by the lugs on the ring but it would be very small - bit like a tiny, tiny dynamo.

Think will check today, does anyone know where in the car the rear sensor connects? Is it in the boot?

i checked today and the connectors are inside the car not in the wheel arch area. So under the seats at the back sounds right, and somewhere low down in the engine bay at the front.

They’re made by SKF and are Maserati part no. 197118, no viable alternatives exist. There are a lot of fakes on alibaba, aliexpress, eBay etc. Don’t be tempted, folk have tried and they’re failing after a week or 2.

Here’s the OEM part:

Dang! I almost bought a set of hubs to put on the shelf back when the Pound was down. I could have bought them for around $350.00 less each. I bought a clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing, clutch position sensor, and rear main seal delivered to the states for $2500.00!

Looking at the pictures of the sensor, they look a lot like a 916 Alfa sensor. But it would take a bit of work to find out if it was the same.

Fronts are

Rear (both) are 383800105

Hi,
Just to confirm the rear sensors are located behind seats, only need to remove seat base. Also they can be olm tested with a multimeter with ignition off ;)
