The first one the manua lFrank very similar to mine , in terms of mileage wheels etc ,except mine has Tubi's, New Vreds allround , and the GS bumpers, surfboards, carbon fibre steering wheel and steering rack , with the light grey leather full 12months MOT and Tax , reckon mine will be good value at £13K

It would seem so Loz.....Wouldn't you say the 1st one should be closer to 10k....

Difficult one Andy . these cars are worth a minimum of £7k broken if all is in running/working order,If the repair was good and its a lowish mileage one and if genuine i'd say he's bang on the money with a small margin to get knocked off down say £10.500

I think it both were CC's then you could add some to that .. Man are a bit unloved aren't they? .... Very cheap cars if they get through an inspection without too much wrong .... The silver one could be because of colour, I like but silver doesn't seem to sell well.

Are there any PPI watch outs for manual vs CC 4200? Or is it just that manual cars command less money in the market now?

When I was looking for a Maserati initially, I had heard good things about the GT and it seemed that this was the one to go for rather than the CC.

Also, were there any software updates for the manual over the years or was this just for the cambio corsa gear system?

Si, when I was in the market, most people I asked said that the CC was the way to go. Having driven a manual I found it to be notchy and occasionally difficult to engage, so I went CC. Glad I did. As for software updates, ask Miles at Emblem as he is a font of useful information.

4200 prices haven't stablised in the same way 3200 prices seem to have done, but that is still a very cheap 4200! Not a fan of grey leather, but the car looks very clean...if it all stacks up that would be a bargain if someone was looking for a 4200 GT.

The CC is regarded as the better box to go for as most will pick it over the manual ..... But a free love them ... Lewis had a manual and loved it...Dicky now owns that car and he is loving it also.

A well maintained manual system used as it should, is as rewarding as the CC......horses for courses etc.................but vast majority sold were CCs.

Indded, the manual made the 4200 a beast to drive when you wanted it to be - in the very best way possible! Really made it feel like an old school supercar and it's why I waited so long to find a manual DB9, wanted more of the same. What can I say, I like changing gear, balancing the clutch, heel & toe, blipping for downshifts.. the list goes on!

Horses for courses, CC owners swear by them!

You enjoying the new Aston Lewis? I had a go on a flappy paddle DB9 a few years ago and that was pretty nice :)

Well my 4200 will be going in August so if anyone is interested, drop me a PM. It could also go earlier too if the price is strong.

Facelift 05MY, manual 05 05, 44k miles, Rosso Mondiale with black leather. Originally a Meridien Modena demo car so loaded with bits.
