4200 key buttons

Hope these are clear enough to see what the item looks like.

I was going to look for a latex based glue to see if I can repair mine as it hasn't totally fallen apart.

Thanks for those Bal.......its not a complex process, nor difficult to do. Plus it is a small item. It would be advisable to use a better rubber compound though, but the design of the key/rubber button/micro-switch leaves a lot to be desired!

The key on the 4200 is different I think. I will take a pic tonight when I get in from work if nobody has beaten me to it.
meanwhile this is a link to one onsale on ebay where you can see the offending buttons.

Sorry don't know what happend there to the link ? go to ebay and copy this into the search box

BRAND NEW UNCUT MASERATI REMOTE KEYLESS KEY 2 BUTTON

Looks Fake to me and the Maserati Logo is a bit cheap and nasty finished.
I do not think these are genuine and i would guess that they are possibly chinese Knock offs or similar.
I have a new maserati Key and its exactly the same as the old one.Its also Blue and pale grey not black and dark grey and the mould of the latex is much more detailed.
This auction set of keys does not look right to me.

These pics are axactly the same as my original key ( before it went through the washer obviously ) and you are right they have always looked cr*p! Like they were designed by british layland for an allegro, and made to last the warranty period and then fall apart. A key you keep in your pocket rather than leave to pose on the table .

i have emailed the company in the states to see how many they have in stock, with maybe a bulk buy, but might be worth a call to the dealer to see what that part costs from them.
