HI Guys
I have recently purchased an 2004 4200. The brake disc are in need of a skim / replacement. The cost of replacement is £230+vat each plus fitting. I can get the skimmed on the car using the latest disc skimming machine as seen on wheeler dealers but the cost is £800+vat. I can take them off myself and have found a local engineering firm who will skim them for me for £60 the set. One question is can they be skimmed or do they have to be ground due to hardness of disk???
Regards
Martin
Really enjoied the 1st week of ownership shame I now have to replace the clutch!!! (not me but did not know about the % wear in the service preint out when I purchased the car)
