I have a vertical acceleration sensor to go into the r/ns of the masser. Does anyone have any knowledge of the boot strip down required. Also are there any specialist trim tools that I would need? Thanks Neil

It’s very easy. Start with the trim over to boot catch, that will allow you to remove the carpet from the bottom of the boot. This reveals push pins that hold the side trims, a normal trim tool will remove those then you’ll see how to remove them and the fuel tank cover.

Can I suggest you have a single thread for your issues, this is now jumping around between your ABS / MSR thread, your wanted ad for a wheel bearing and now this one. You’ll get more useful help if people can see what you have already tried.

I'm sorry but that is tedious. Get in there, unscrew everything you can see and rip the rest out. You will, eventually, get to a point where all becomes clear but don't confuse yourself with a reasoned approach. Maseratls are built on a 'f*ck it and let's see what happens next' approach, and if you haven't got a shitload of extra screws, nuts. bolts and washers you haven't done it right. This is the way of things, so don't disturb the force. You're welcome.

I've been paying for this education for the last 12 years, so I can pass on the fruits of my punishment for the benefit of mankind.

Right this is the item I bought, rear left vertical acceleration sensor. As you can see 4200 is listed for it. does anyone have knowledge of where this goes. Euro car parts shows a different car on its diagram. I’ve stripped down the boot but couldn’t find where it goes. Someone please tell me that I haven’t wasted yet more money on this creature and direct me to its positioning on the car. Bought second hand as I wasn’t sure about it so only cost £30 inc postage. Have you had a look right above the rear shocks?
Under carbon canister on the left and forward of the battery on the right?
