After a bit of a struggle, I managed to remove the old Air Filter from a rather knackrd Airbox.
Please tell me I can remove the Airbox to repair/replace it without removing the front bumper.
See pics of old filter. Might put it back without changing it.......only joking.

That filter is in better shape than most that were supposedly replaced annually!

I’d go down the oil less K&N route and take the box out. That is my preferred option

Yes, I did eventually remove the bumper to change the air filter:confused:.
I've also repaired the airbox, so that next time won't be so much of a trauma, and fitted a new BMC filter.
Removing the bumper was quite easy following the steps on the 'how-to' guide, except the two bolts inside the grille didn't need undoing because the support bracket had crumbled and wasn't supporting anything.
Pic is my new, self fabricated support bracket and showing the old piece on top.

That's in good condition compared to what mine was like

Haha! at least I could use mine as a rough template but yours looks like it was totally useless as a pattern.
Yes, it was a bit of a challenge fabricating a new one, but we managed
