Excellent, many thanks for that!! It has only come on once and after clearing it hasn't come on since. I will adjust or replace the brake switch as a precaution.

@rotorheadcase: Good to hear! Fortunately it is a cheap part. But if you first want to give it a try with your current one, just clean it thoroughly. Possibly your problem can be fixed by pulling out the moving part just a bit.

Hopefully soon I will have further details on the specific DTCs for the 3200GT. Once this is in I will provide an update on DTC 1171.

DTC 0353 --> COIL 3 CONTROL

DTC 0357 --> COIL 7 CONTROL
DTC 0358 --> COIL 8 CONTROL
DTC 0500 --> INCONSIST. CAR SPEED
DTC 0700 --> AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
DTC 1171 --> RH OXYGEN SENSOR EFFICIENCY
DTC 1226 --> ACCEL. POTENTIOMETER INCONSIST.
DTC 1665 --> BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH INCONSIST.

Hello All , great site and info.

i am looking for Contactless throttle pedal sensor - Maserati 3200GT / 2001 , or some one that can do it for a reasonable price.

i have P0225 and P01226 DTC that would not go away, the car has no power and in limp mode all the time. I reset the TB and all is well till i start driving , then limp mode.
I did replace the TB with an updated one , still the same problem , and now after reading the Forum , i am guessing that i have to do the pedal sensor too,

If any one can help , would be appreciated

Sorry thats an e-bay thing. I can ship international no problem PM me and we can talk. Whether i will have one left might be a bigger issue, as i have two other members looking for these right now. I can also confirm that my notes suggest that P1226 is accelerator pedal travel sensor fault.

I am making them as required, I can make as many as are needed, it takes about 6-8weeks from scratch. I have two left right now one is kind-of sold but there is one still. if I run out i will make more, I was considering making some more including a replacement for the 4200 as I have worked out how to do that too, its similar but different!

Need Help

i have 2 DTCs that will not go , 225 and 1226 , where 225 points to throtle/pedal position sensor / switch c circuit.

i replaced the TB to contact less one , cleaned the pedal and joined the white and yellow wires as per the threads i saw here.

When i reset the pedal and TB , while standing still all is working fine , but when start moving , almost immediately turbos dont work and rpm would not go beyond 3000.

i have to tell you it is really bad feeling to have to drive such a car with no power.

i would appreciate any ideas you might have to help me with this.

Speedycar you are almost guaranteed to have a worn pedal pot and replacing with a new or contact less one will fix this. I had exactly these symptoms and error codes. I replaced it with a new one and the problem went away.

-p0560 are battery low voltage ?
-p1340 Alignment Between Camshaft and Crankshaft Signal (Bank 2) ?
-p1171 Fuel Trim System Lean during Power Enrichment
-p1172 ????
-p0207 / 0208 / 0206 bad injection at cylinder 6/7/8

-p1171/207/206/208 are linked ? Bad gasfilter and low pressure of gas in injectors ?
-2 lambda could be replacing ?

Mine can only read error code, but not any parameters. Mind to share your experience? Which definition file do u use?

there are a couple of things here. I use ODB diagII and I can get live readings and log them. None of the Maserati special stuff, but throttle position, rpm, and it also reads and clears the O2 sensors, its a little clunky but it does work. It reads and clears error codes as well. for what it worth i also have two contactless pedal sensors if they are needed.
