Which side do you need mate? I have part number 470369200M sat here on my desk. https://www.eurospares.co.uk/parts/...corsa/all/turbo-cooling-pipes-41460/470369200 It appears to be the same shape as part 17 but has the 18 number go figure?

It looks like this

Hey Contigo! It's been ages since we've spoken!

I think the problem is the left side mainly, the mechanic wants to change both sides which I guess is fair enough.

If you're not using it, how much do you want for the pipe?

Left and Right side :D

C

I replaced those with roose silicone hose, suitable for coolant, fluro lined etc. (that's what you get in their kit)

There were no clearance issues or worries at all that I could see with that approach.

My plan for the moment is to use a set of generic hoses till I can save enough $$ up to get the entire system replaced in one go, I'll even look at all the turbo and vac hoses at the same time, problem being the Maserati pricing....I also have lost all of my overtime this year, dropped $25k in Overtime in the first 6 months of this year alone =( so money is a bit tight at present but if I get it over a period of time, shouldn't matter too much.

What's wrong with the Roose kit? Everything I've read about them is good.

For some reason, it tends to be the LHS pipe that usually goes.

Would your mechanic be prepared to do the change if you gave them a written instruction that acknowledges their misgivings? There are only two possible reasons for refusing: worries about being sued or sheer bloody-minded stupidity.

By far the best thing you can do is order the complete coolant hose kit, and the turbo oil drain back hoses too, and fit them all, that is presuming that you plan to keep the car.

All of the hoses are getting past it now after 15-20years.

Nothing at all wrong with the Roose kit, just can't afford it at the moment, once I can, I will order it.

Third: the lead mechanic is a moron and is worried about my warranty

Exactly, as I said, once I can afford it. I want the thing running and I am going to take it back to QLD where I am from and where I have a good mechanic. After I finish up with my work and move back there in a year or two I will have ordered the parts of not before hand and all will be good with the world

Might be a silly question but is the leak at the clamp cause if it is you could just cut it cleanly with a Stanley on straight clippers on the good side of the clamp ,take up some slack and reclamp to rid the leak till you can afford the new pieces ,but obviously if it's split in the middle that's not an option

Yes I had my top, hose go at a clip, but had so much slack I could cut away the whole crack and redo a great seal been happy and leak free since, I will have the dreaded task of having to change the lot sooner or later too just that age I guess and what we chose to take on as owners of these cars
