Managed to get the slave cylinder removed from the pivot arm with a bit of jiggery pokery, no leaks and looks clean although internals could be sticky. There is a bit of fore and aft movement on the release bearing, relates to about 3 or 4mm at the end of the arm, which I assume is normal?
PS. It is sticking slightly when cold but you don't notice in normal driving, you can see and feel it when off the ground, but not nearly as bad as when it's warm.

Is it sticky if it’s not attached to the arm?
Tomorrow's job, I didn't want to step on the clutch pedal and the piston end up on the floor. I've taken a video of the action from inside and under the car which I will try and link to.

I suspect the issue is down on the business end but is there any waggle on the pedal Allan? Seems to be a lot of stiction somewhere.

Would it be possible to strap the clutch release in the open (pressed) position and see how it operates without the spring load from the clutch? might just help with eliminating culprits.

Today's update. I operated the clutch with the pushrod disconnected still felt slightly sticky though obviously no resistance. I used a clamp to stop the slave cylinder piston popping out. Getting the piston retracted again was a feat having to resort to leavers accompanied by creaks and groans from the cylinder, so feels very much that it may be the culprit. I'll try and track down a spare and replace it.IMG20231120130238.jpg
