Any suggestions or others experienced left indicator bringing on both sides indicators (dash and car lights) but right hand side indicator works as normal. I'm guessing removing stalk and cleaning contacts or possibly faulty relay (is there a separate one for each side?)

Wow that's a weird one. The fact that the right hand one works ok suggests a relay somewhere to me? The main and hazard indicators are all driven by relays, sounds like on of them is stuck or faulty. Might not be but it's where I would start. The only other thing might be grounding, if there is a corroded earth contact on one of the light units you might get some weird effects.

Thanks Dave - time to dig out the wiring diagrams! I hate car electrics at the best of times let alone Italian electrics!

I would also check the clusters for water ingress. Sounds a bit like my old Cerbera, put on full beam and it would indicate left. lol

I’ve looked through owners manual and can’t locate relay for indicators from descriptions provided. Also looked through manual and struggling to find info where the indicator relays are located. Any further advice appreciated. Clusters all seem dry.

Thanks guys. Will there be one one for each side given it works in one direction but not the other in which case I can just swap them over? If single unit how can you test to see if faulty given it’s ok in one direction?

There's only one.

Probably faster to just swap it. They're only cheap generic units, but if you pull it the pin out will be on it. Should be able to work out what's what, then see what happens to the voltages on the base connector when you activate the switch would be my approach

Thanks all unit located. Dark green tucked up right behind the counters! I will try and get a replacement as electronics isn’t my forte. For reference it’s Maserati part 706.10 - 12v 383100156.

Thanks everyone - removed flasher relay unit, tapped it and liberal dose of contact cleaner and everything seems to be working correctly.

For now. Personally I'd swap it out now. As I said it's a cheap, generic part so finding a replacement shouldn't be hard or expensive

Great you're up and running though :)

Thanks C - any chance you could point me in a suitable direction - would RS do something? Photos showing pins and numbers if that helps?

There should be numbers on the top, that will be the way to find an alternative.

As the man says. Pictures of the top?

Just checked the numbers you posted. Looks like they are specific so some trawling will be required
