I'm in the process of ordering some rear spherical bearings to to replace the worn ones on my 3200GT

They come from SKF in Germany, the minimum order is 8 pieces plus shipping, there £12 each, does anyone want a set?..Lots cheaper then £55 plus vat some indies charge!

I'm also having some stainless spacers made up...If your interested let me know before Monday as thats when my order goes in.

Cheers,Dave

Eurospares don't sell them,Maserati will only sell you the whole lower rear wishbone assembly

Dave....again....can you link the parts page and number, is this the part that an indie can press in and change out rather than buy a new rear suspension arm?

Pressing in the rose joints is so easy to do. Getting the right bits is the hard part as mine has been modified different to others on here.

Would these parts allow me to replace the lower ball joints on the lower rear suspension arms? i have recently replaced one side but the other although it looks good may not be far behind.

Well mines a 3200, both the bearings have wear in them...
I got hold of an scrap arm off David Askew and stripped it out, after a bit of digging found the SKF bearing part number, its not available from Maserati...
I'm ordering 4 car sets tomorrow morning from Germany,if anyone wants a pair let me know by 11pm tonight so I can add to the order

Your a bit late Chippie...shipping from Germany for just two bearings could be expensive. When I receive the order I'll ask how much for another two

alfa, I realise /I'm a touch late, sorry - if you can get costings that would be great thanks.
Davy: thank you ever so much for the offer, you're a gentleman. Im in no hurry (as far as Im aware) for them either so no need to sacrifice yours for my mistake.

Ive been away on holiday so missed the earlier messages and deadline. If a second order is on the cards I would be interested in a pair as well.

Here we go then one more time, the joint/bearing that were talking about is not available from Maserati unless you buy the complete rear lower wishbone assembly

The joint comprises of the bearing, two spacers, one either side and two rubber boots which are reuseable...the original spacers are made of mild steel and rust badly....hence my stainless versions

This component was never designed to be replaced so I suppose they didn't bother to much with the qiulity......so why spend £800 plus on a Maserati part at your next MOT test if you've play in the rear suspention when you could fix it for around £50!
This is what the SportsMaserati forums all about...
