2005 4200 Coil Springs

Afternoon all.
My mad auction purchase is with the lads at SB Race Engineering having some work done.
The car needs new coil springs on the front and original ones are NLA.
Any help/advice appreciated.
Presumably I will need to go down the aftermarket route and if so replace the rears at the same time?

Have you checked the part numbers for newer cars or the Gransport?

Seen a set of H&R lowered springs listed as fitting 4200/Gransport I guess they would fit?

Yes. They are the same struts. Later Coupe’s and Gransports have the same springs.

Probably a bit late but I think I've got some old OEM GranSport springs in the garage. Could take a look if you like? They don't have much mileage on them.

A combination of too much work and then ill health kept me away! I was pretty unwell most of last year to the point where I had to give up work. So I've now retired. Brenda's still working, which just about keeps us afloat.

I sold the 4C last year as I just wasn't driving it, I just have an Abarth now.

Sorry to read of all the issues and complications Pat... hope retirement is suiting you.

All good here, still have the GS as well as others in the home fleet. Charlotte and I moved to the edge of the Cotwolds a few years back... so country bumkins now.

If you are ever heading this way it would be great to see you.

Thanks Matt + Pete. I'm all good now, after complications following a routine skin cancer operation. I'd love another Maser, Matt, except I would be too tempted to spend my retirement pot on tweaks like those Formula Dynamics extras ...
