That's a Scam for sure when you see the 2nd picture.
Seen loads of the same style of Ads :(
I think your right Phil, my first thoughts was the chap has had it for sale for so long he's had to get some money in quick due to current situation but scammers at it still it seems.

Yep your right, fooled me especially as that car has been for sale for ages at £14500 and there's me thinking he's had to drop the price substantially to get some money in due to the current situation.

That car was on a auction site last week, It got up to about 6K!
no ones buying anything at the moment..

Yes, it was my car on the Collecting Cars auction site and now I'm the proud owner of 131 hi-res photos as a result....oh, and I've still got the car too LOL!

The auction made it over the £10k mark in the end, but still didn't hit reserve, which I'd lowered that day on the advice of Collecting Cars. As you say, very difficult time to sell anything exotic or rare at the moment.

Expect I'll be hanging onto it for a bit longer, but will leave it on here nonetheless, just in case!!

Simples......money laundering/ drug money .....money from other ill gotten gains. .....and it could also be counterfeit. A risk I would never take. :rofl5:

Easy to get around the counterfeit thing. Flogged my last car for cash. Take cash to bank in presence of buyer, tk pay into your account. Bank count and pay in, at which point it is banks' responsibility the notes are real, the money is yours and counted and real, in your account.

Traceability not your problem if you advise DVLA car gas been sold

A golden opportunity for the scammers , seeing cars substantially reduced in the current economic climate won't look unusual at all

Revised price - £12,950 (no offers)

Given the current state of the market and an opportunity I have to purchase an onward car (Porsche 911) at a very agreeable price as a result, I've lowered the asking price considerably to reflect this.

For those genuinely interested in the car, please contact me via PM for more details, as I have 130 hi-res photos covering the whole car and can email across via online transfer link.

Owing to the Covid-19 situation, the MoT is now due in December 2020. The car remains in superb condition, please see opening post of this thread for full details of the impressive spec and service history.

Please contact me for more details or to arrange a phone discussion / video walk-around.

That is a stunning car and should sell at that price. If you want me to post it on a trader's underwriting group let me know. Feel free to pm me.

It was sold away from the forum in the end but I had help from another forum member along the way, which I'm very grateful for. Whilst the purchase price is undoubtedly a good bargain for the buyer, I'm not sure that I'd have got much more in the current market....or even by holding out for a further 6/9/12 months to be honest!

Several forum members have asked about what I've replaced the 4200 with. It's a Violet Metallic 1998 Porsche 996.1 Carerra 4 with a 6spd manual gearbox. It's on 89k miles, has a FSH and very impressive history file to support this. The spec includes the desirable factory-fit aero kit and M030 sports suspension, re-upholstered front seats and a lovely sounding Top Gear stainless exhaust system with 200cpi sports cats.
