Hi I would check the end float on the engine Just pulled my 55k mile engine apart and crank was chewing the block! The replacement 28 k engine was already out os spec.!

So you can refit exhaust manifold / turbos with cylinder heads still on if sump is removed. Passenger side bolts on with turbo attached - driver side needs turbo assembly removed from manifold Tough job with seized studs and knuckle ripping access but at least I can get on with the bottom end...
