Need help with F1 Transmission fault codes

I would attempt to get 'hold of Aldous Voice, of AV Engineering, in the UK. I'd bet he could take a CFC301F.62 or .64 and turn it into a .63 (which I think fits your GTS F1). http://www.avengineeringltd.com/ I wouldn't be surprised if he could imbue it with "Challenge Stradale" goodness, too.

    Noisy F1 changes.

Can an expert weigh-in, here, and advise if a "Relearn" should occur, to re-map the respective engaged gear positions, and accordingly account for actuator- and/or shift rod, shift fork, etc. wear? As I understand it, a Relearn is much less fraught of an operation than a DEIS...?

Granturismo 2013 onwards Auto (ZF) VERSUS 2007 to 2012 MC Shift (F1)

You're totally right re low voltage. Almost everything strange that occurs re these cars seems to be somehow related to low voltage. Put it on a Tender when not running it daily, and be absolutely circumspect re battery health!

Granturismo 2013 onwards Auto (ZF) VERSUS 2007 to 2012 MC Shift (F1)

I am by no means really savvy about the differences, and in the fringes of memory I think someone said that the Stradale F1 pump is the same as the predecessor MCShift cars (though it may operate at a higher pressure)... Viewing this: https://www.sequparts.com/product-category/maserati/ it is...

Oops, I did it again - Another Granturismo MC-Shift

Sam could you please point me to that thread you reference? I do remember reading it... but I've forgotten some of the details. Did you intimate that the rev-matching aspects (on a down-change) for the later car are less evident?

Granturismo 2013 onwards Auto (ZF) VERSUS 2007 to 2012 MC Shift (F1)

I can't argue with empirical results... but as I understand it the actuators themselves, the 2 hall-effect actuator position transmitters, the F1 pump and motor, the accumulator, the clutch position transmitter, the high pressure- and low pressure hydraulic hoses are all the same, back from the...

Granturismo 2013 onwards Auto (ZF) VERSUS 2007 to 2012 MC Shift (F1)

Joking aside, a person needs to know that this ain't a Toyota Corolla for reliability. I'm fine with that...

Granturismo 2013 onwards Auto (ZF) VERSUS 2007 to 2012 MC Shift (F1)

If it were me, and if it were a 3rd car, it'd without a doubt be an MC Shift. But I also am realistic (I believe) in my expectations re reliability. So I offer the following two screenshots that, I believe, says it well... Lest the "order" become scrambled in the "send", the more word-intense...

    Granturismo mc shift V auto?

It comprises the most-developed of the systems of this type, with the latest software (Others, pipe-up if I'm wrong) - SOFAST4+, with Superfast2 (?) and notably revised mechanical... It has the two-support bearing bell housing, it has a revised actuator, it has the more heat resistant clutch...

    Granturismo mc shift V auto?

Model year '13 and up, the automatic became more Sporting, as I understand it. The ZF 'box is very good as automatics go. It's one of the best. Going the route of the MCShift automated clutch (and servo-operated manual shift) is generally for the quite committed folks as mtce will be higher...

Trailer it; enough of their futzing around!

    MC Shift gearbox ECU

Aldous Voice has a particularly good rep. If things don't work out with your current plan, I'd take him up on his offer.

Used clutch - what to look for?

Thx @Corranga . @Oishi should weigh in, as he went out of his way to get a GT version of the 4200 Coupé/Spyder.

Used clutch - what to look for?

Can you explain what you mean about the manual shift mechanism not being too tight?

Used clutch - what to look for?

But what about the F1 position sensor, what about the clutch release bearing assembly? Already we're seeing NCR's and Hall Effect actuator position sensors becoming hard to get or NLA. Let's face it: small production run car, few jobber mfrs interested, car becoming old. Unfortunate reality. I...

Used clutch - what to look for?

The "% clutch wear" number is not that accurate, and it can be "gamed" by unscrupulous individuals by changing the NCCP value. If you buy an F1 equipped car you should never be surprised that you need to renew the clutch. It's not just the wear of the friction surfaces of the clutch disks that...

In other words both of your cars are/were being driven sensibly...

Used clutch - what to look for?

I think the actual available wearable friction material depth is quite shallow. If the clutch you're buying is for an MC Shift car, I think you said, this is even more of a potential issue. I think it's hard to tell just how much the wear is... I'd agree with the comment that it just might not...
