ULEZ is expanding

Please don’t give them any ideas. Let this never be mentioned again in the great corridors, halls and forums of the land! Not even in living rooms, pubs or restaurants!

:as004:

There will be thousands of cameras running ANPR all over London. They can pretty much do what they want with the information. Except share it with the Police unless a legally valid request is made, so no use in tracking your car if stolen.

I live in Enfield and so far it’s free, if I visit parents however I do have to go over the A406 where it’s ULEZ

I hear it’ll be anything in the M25 within 5 years though

I feel for those who can’t afford to change cars to make them compliant
My parents had a very reliable 19 year old Civic and when they had to sell it to buy a ULEZ exempt car they were struggling with the funds as those exempt cars went up by 30% and to get a decent Civic auto they needed 8k all of a sudden
May sound like pocket change but it’s not.
You work hard your entire life and you retire and live on minimal income then get told you need to change your car

I find it disgusting and that’s why once I take my daughter through Uni (if that’s what she wants) I’ll be off

I’d like to go Cyprus (if it doesn’t change too much)

what; going over there with your notion you can drive across the island and back in the same day! Don’t you know they ripped the railways out after the brits left because they were too fast!

It’s a joke.
I made an error paying £12.50 for the wrong car today, and when I tried to refund for the correct car, online states it costs £2.50+£10 to claim a refund so basically no refund.! So it cost me £25 to pick up a small cable from a friend…

I’m applying for dual citizenship to have the freedom
The Mrs is investigating this, purely for our kids.
She used to have a French passport (father French), so should be straightforward, especially with French family in France too.
My daughter would like to work in Europe during the ski season, was easy before, but now the UK ski companies need you to have an EU passport.
I could too apparently, but don't think that will happen, would need to prove I can speak French!

Why are some GSs exempt and others not surely that can be rectified ..

Indeed it can, mine used to be Euro 3 by default but a couple of years ago (when the ULEZ expanded to North/South Circ’s it seems Maserati or someone updated DVSA as it got bumped to Euro 4. I kid you not my friend, I bought the Euro 3 ticket for France, Lyon. V5 now says Euro4 too.

Glad I moved here in 2018 that's for sure.
