The joys of getting on a bit...

I’m enjoying being in my 50s. Remarried at 52 all kids off our hands now and financially independent. Work if we want to rather than have to. As others have said appreciate things more but tolerate less. The only downside is I have to get up in the night and pee more.
Your 50's Puh, that's wipper snapper stuff... wait till you get into your 70's;)

Separate beds by then mate, none of that messy stuff, just want to go to sleep at night nowadays!

Fair do’s.
I’m fairly determined to go out in a blaze of sparks as I extract the last few thrusts from my metal on metal replaced hips (15th March) whilst hearing the pacemaker spin to turbo mode before stuttering to a silent, glorious, satisfied, messy end.

RIP (Rest in pieces)

Thinking about this, I’ll not have nookie for about a month beforehand- then in my final act I’ll preserve myself totally in “man love juice” for future generations to see.

Bit like the Jurassic park mozzie, (milky with lumps obviously) but kind of a nod to human/hybrid/ technology rebuild innovation.

The artifact could be called “The Sperminator”

Hope it all goes well. If there’s anything I can do or Mrs Wattie needs anything just let me know :)

Pardon?...

"Getting on" shouldn't be a problem - unless you've done something really stupid in your early days.

I'll be 80 in July, by the way...
80, that’s good going.
It’ll be a miracle if I get anywhere near that.

50 in 8 weeks FFS

Never though as a child I would get this far. Ok, there are still 8 weeks.

Feel no different from 40, or 30 if I’m honest.

The only annoying bit it the salt and pepper accents in my dark hair and the 80’s Don Jonson designer stubble is white on my chin and if left 5 days/too long I look more Dr Snuggles.

I always said I would never dye my hair, (with the exception of 1980’s highlight experiments) what’s the consensus from the duffers on here?

Agree with much of the above to be fair. 50 in August. I’m never going to dye my hair either. Quite like the salt and pepper effect.

At 59 this coming Summer my hair is still the same colour it's been for many a year.
Certainly don't have the energy I had in my 40's but still try.
Got no sunroof on top either ;)
