Well - I finally pulled the trigger on a Land Rover Series 2a - Petrol engine 2.25 w Fairey overdrive.
I am supposed to get it post lock down as the vendor wasn’t comfortable doing anything before that.
It’s a 1971, and is as a result MOT free (though I will still carry on for safety reason), road tax free, congestion tax free and ULEZ tax free. Oh and the annual cost of insurance Is £119 with an agreed value of £10k.
Although it won’t really appreciate massively, it is likely to be the cheapest car to run that I have ever owned (famous last words?).
So from that stand point, I don’t think it will do too bad over the next 10years
