these must have been mentioned before, the BMW E39 M5 and petrol M Sports are surely going to creep up, the 525i to 540i M Sports are still fairly reasonable at the moment, anywhere between 2 and 6K, finally bought a nice 2001 525i M Sport for a couple of grand the other day and forgotten what a wonderful driving machine they are, need to do a few jobs on it but it's in great shape

100% agree....My wife had a 530 Sport which was a lovely car...Then I had an E39 M5....Truly wonderful machine. Still my favourite M5.80114

Bit left of field, but I reckon any half decent Morgan Plus 4 will hold its value and probably go up in 10 years. They hold value well now and who’s going to want an electric one in 9 yrs time? No one.

go for it before it's too late, you'll only regret it later in life if you don't

The mad thing is I sold mine for £6500 with 75k on the clock and now the cheapest one on AT is 14k with 141k miles on it....

Also out of all the cars I've owned it's three BMW's I've regret selling...E30 M3, E39 M5 and M3 CSL.........

i know, join the club, makes me cry when i think back on cars i've sold and what they're worth now and in such a short period of time as well in some cases, if only we knew then what we know now

We have had a few BMW's and the 1999 Z3m coupe (321) was the one I regret selling.... reckon they are a decent bet over the next 10 years due to rarity

I had an e39 530i sport touring for about 5 years. Was the best car I’ve ever had for all round ability and running costs. Had done 230k miles when I sold it and ran like a sewing machine.

as a rule of thumb iv noticed basically any top model of a luxury or performance marque, anything rare or any car that has achieved success in either racing or been in a big film is a good bet.

Alfa 156 GTA would be a good bet I think
I do hope not as I sold mine a year or so back... I’m hanging onto my R33 GTR and Subaru RB320 though as I reckon Japanese Turbo stuff is likely to head on up as the Playstation generation start to look for the cars of tgeir childhood.. fingers crossed.

Unusual for sure.
Shame the handling was limited by the 3 series compact rear end.

Is that because you got stitched up every time you took it to a main dealer?

Think the mark 1 will only go one way Dan.....Add the fact you don't see hardly any for sale these days and the fact they saved Lotus.....Not forgetting they are a fecking brilliant drivers car and cheap to run why wouldn't they.
