2021

Been tremendously busy doing all sorts in preparation for not just 2021 but next 5-10 years and beyond. Dived headfirst into trading and been watching, listening and learning as much as I can about economics, finance, history and the future. IMHO there are an absolute stack of massive changes happening soon. I want myself and my family on the right side of this if we can, to be a gainer/winner and not a loser in real terms.

So looking to push on with plans to build a house then sell a house. That should see us mortgage free with some assets in the back over and above this.

Also to keep building wealth and keep investing to grow this pot to allow us to benefit from the changes and not be a victim of them all.

Got some more outbuildings to build and a garage to finish. Just nearly finished the new office build which will be a great asset to have to operate from as the current office is to small and restrictive.

All I do is work, watch, listen, learn and feel it is a worthwhile short term sacrifice to make for long term gain. I want to be part time retired in 2 years to allow me to do the things I actually want to do. Tough tight schedule but I'll attack the next 2 years with vigor and hopefully it pays off.

Might buy myself a nice decent motor for my 50 in 2 years!

Gti yes, but 1.9 been a long time since I’ve been out with it, so hopefully next year will be a bit better for everyone & I can get out with it as compensation for a rather dull 2020

My old boss’ son rallied a 309. Used to go to Peugeot Sport in Coventry to pick up bits.

So, after the debacle that was 2020 and making the assumption that life will return to normal next Spring, what are your plans for 2021?

  • Put 5k miles on my italian beauties through lovely road trips
  • Complete the build on our 2nd home in France
  • Spend more time w family & friends

That really is a good question but want to see the end of this one first.
For me hoping to have you guys come through my village en route to Le Mans :)
We are going via Bernay on the way down but staying over somewhere on the Sunday night so sure we can tie something up.

  1. Christmas weekend with the kids and partners seeing as this year it’s blown out.
  2. Got a gite booked near Rouen with all the kids and partners for mid April (postponed from June this year) so might be lucky and make that.
  3. Sell My BMW 650i and replace with a QPV or maybe a 4200.
  4. Road trip through Italy to Scicily and back up the Amalffi coast. (Route to be planned)
  5. Plenty of car and music events.
So basically everything we had planned for this year.

Easy, big things. Another new start.

B0llocks to 2020, prep for 2021 is already underway.

Work less, less stress, still pocket the same. Bloke 'doing' my job is drinking heavily already!
More time for me, family and friends.
Ride the ZXR.
Do the Balkans road trip in September.
Possibly a few more haircuts.
Definitely more socially (ir)responsible drinking.
Win the lottery.

2020 has been my busiest year and have setup another venture. Lots of trading and successes as many of you will know.

will do a road trip with the Mrs in the GTS for a week or two once we can travel again.

can’t wait to see some of you lot on here.

Le Mans classic next year for sure.

looking forward to it all really and be glad to see the back of 2020.

No one has driven there!
The plan is to drive to Dusseldorf, get on a train with the car, sleep on the train in a bed, wake up in Verona, head to Ljubljana. Then crack on to Croatia.

Anyone fancy tagging along?

No plans until in see the end results....Like Phil.......I think it's summer before things start to change not Spring......People will see how things pan out first probably. But I wouldn't mind getting a Llandow track day underway in the summer month and if all goes well an Italian holiday but still not convinced that may be 2022.

Good question. Not much to disagree with any of those replies:

Eating out
Weekends away with Mrs Crud
See Cruds minor and major more than we did this year (that's not to say they need to move home, either of them!)
Drive the Vantage
Treat it to new tubular manifolds and primary de-cat
Seeing you dastardly lot + Le Mans
A holiday, maybe two
Back to travelling for work (though less than before would be good) and settling into a long-haul flight
Carry on fixing up the house
Keep my job.

That should tick all boxes, but I suspect it will be a more gradual return to our former freedoms.
