Wasn’t there a bloke with a dealers in Kent who claimed to have Lennon’s mini and got really uppity when it was proved to be a fake?
Not sure about one in Kent but there was one in East Anglia who said the same thing way back in 1999, I went to have a shuftie and although a nice period Cooper S with typical Radford / Wood & Pickett touches, it was definitely not Lennon's car. The two most common rumours about his Radford are that it was given away to one of his housekeepers in '68 before being written off, or it was stolen and taken to Ireland, never to be seen again. It's probably long dead by know whatever happened to it. George and John's had consecutive reg' numbers as they were registered on the same day in 1966 by Brian Epstein's car company 'Brydor', LGF 695D and LGF 696D.
