And there lies the reason behind the hysteria, no Brexit to sell adverts

The number of coronavirus cases in the UK has now reached 373, a rise of 54 from Monday's figure.

It comes as a man in his early 80s became the sixth person to die in the UK with the virus.

On Sunday, a 60-year-old man from Greater Manchester became the third person to die
The son said they later received a phone call from the hospital saying his father - who had underlying conditions including arthritis, heart problems, and high cholesterol - had died.

My guess is the other four who died were in a similar condition
Arthritis , increased BP and cholesterol have F all effect on acute illnesses such as Coronavirus. If there is no significant previous cardio- respiratory diseases or immunosupressuon (ie: asthma, copd, heart failure or myocardial dysnfunction) then it’s serious if under 70s are dying from it. They are being sparse with their facts re: deaths. ‘Significant other illnesses’ I treat with suspicion. It seems like it’s random with the symptoms ranging from mild to death...interesting times.

The Chinese study of previous health conditions on the 29th Feb is the only data I can find and it shows that hypertension (high blood pressure) does increase the risk significantly. Along with a few others.

Also you mentioned Arthritis. That seems a very minor pre-existing condition, but couldn't it be the case that if it was a bad case of rheumatoid arthritis, he could have been on quite heavy immunosuppressants and thus increased the chance of complications?
They keep mentioning the risks of immunosuppression and covid 19 but never really mention the risks to people who take immunosuppressants for otherwise unrelated conditions.

I think a lot of events will be cancelled over the next few months.

Hopefully Le Mans will be one of the ones which is on.

It looks like there is a decision going on now to decide if it will be a public event or "behind closed doors". Le Mans Classic is going ahead (Yay!) because it is classed as an exhibition.

Merkel is a Physics Graduate. When did she become a medical expert?
So the leader of Germany has no experts advising her?
Ok, based on that logic you shouldn’t believe anything Johnson or anyone else in the UK tell you, they’re not medical experts either .....especially the Health Minister as it turns out.
So who do you believe.......
Where do you get your medical expertise from Doodlebug?

Italian death rate is scarily high now with many in the 40's dying from Pneumonia. I think the Italians have now woken up to how serious this is and that the lockdown is justified.

I'm into Horse racing but how the government have let Cheltenham festival go-ahead is unreal! Could have done it behind closed door but clearly money is more important than the UK citizens health.

Dont feel so stupid now ordering my oxygen bottles and respirator , and some medical grade hydrogen peroxide ( and before you start , ive got very little hair left to bleach) i just wish Boris would stop playing King Canute , it really is time for 2-3 weeks of drastic preventative action ...................................it will really tee me off if other european countries get ahead of the game in prevention

Personally. I think it’s going to get a lot worse in the UK before any improvement.

Nipped into Tesco’s to get a Mother’s Day card and was greeted by empty shelves.
Delivery dates for paracetamol was Friday. Pasta Friday (that’ll get longer with Italy on lock down) and Sunday for bog roll.

Is this medical expertise enough?
Doctor In Italy's Coronavirus Epicenter Tells Chilling Details In Plea For Action

The story makes no mention of Merkel's medical advisers so the story can't be verified.

If you want to use logic, please make sure what you say is logical. I don't believe a fecking word Johnson tells me. I wouldn't even believe him if he told me the Pope is a catholic, so little do I hold him in regard.

Much the same as Merkel, I neither have any medical expertise nor do I get my medical advice from you Wattie.

I don’t believe a fecking word of this, did you even type it?
By the way the pope actually is catholic and I didn’t give you any medical advice- show me above where I gave you medical advice? I wouldn’t waste my feckin time even if I was qualified.

I note you’ve ignored the Dr. I guess He’s wasting his feckin time appealing to you too.
I know the Pope is a catholic. I wouldn't believe Johnson if he told me that. Do you not see the difference.
