I still can’t get my head around.
people don’t earn enough to qualify for sick pay.
how the **** does that work. You earn less than say £108 a week. Therefore when you are sick you get nothing. Seems really unfair to me.

"a doctor said" (overestimate the power of random presumed authority)
"the figures are inaccurate" (yup, that's true, there is actual uncertainty, and the figures may be significantly optimistic or pessimistic)
"Govt strategy is based on inaccurate figures" (yup, you have to go with whatever information you can get, and make the best plans you can)
"any response woefully inadequate" (but, just because the input data may be uncertain, that doesn't mean that the Govt strategy is either inadequate or over-the-top)
