So where do we go from here? Crash? Or (Charles Dow theory) distribution? Who knows?!

My money's on the latter (unless, that is, there's bad news overnight).
Tomorrow could be emotionally painful for shorts, but just bear in mind that it's completely normal for instruments to retrace - nothing goes straight up or straight down.

I have a full day of work and travel away from my charts tomorrow (which I'm annoyed about). Fingers crossed for all ...
Thanks Froddy and once again a great call.....hope all take note.
I’ve triggered stops all over the place so will look at what’s occurred and re-assess positions affected.
I’m still of the view markets are on a downward trajectory.........until a cure is found the disease isn’t going to get better.

Safe travels!

If you’re gonna buy gold you just had a little discount opportunity!

It really could be a complete coincidence, and I don't deserve any credit until we see what happens following Wednesday's gold futures expiration - let's hope I'm wrong ...

No coincidence, this used to happen regularly and far more frequently.
Doesn’t affect my view as I’m long Gold, any price smash is an opportunity to back the truck up and buy even more, cheaper!,
Day Traders will see it differently.
I virtually guarantee it will be hit again....this was like a mafia message.....see what we can do.....

Ok so lots of stops triggered last night which is no surprise given the gold whack from high.
If Gold falls 1% the miners fall 3-10%

As Froddy has pointed out its Gold futures expiry on Wednesday and someone sent a clear message yesterday....I expect another fall.

As a result I’m not placing anymore positions until Thursday....I suspect my stops would be triggered so there’s no point for a couple of days.

Any downside is an opportunity to purchase Gold/ miners cheaper.
There will be no good news on the virus for months so it’s not a race.

Happy trading if you’re playing the game!

Interesting.......worth a punt, up almost 2% yesterday????

Drugmaker Moderna delivers first experimental coronavirus vaccine for human testing

Golds just suffered another battering ($1000 fall like yesterday) and is bouncing back, that’s two in two days, someone is very very worried about option expiry, this is blatant price manipulation!

Carnage again, little reminder to take some time to investigate your pension positions..........

Central bank money printing will not restore broken supply chains, closed businesses due to isolated workers and increasing debt levels from such......as costs mount without income.

Froddy seems obvious to me but transportation/delivery/airlines must be ripe for shorting.

A very orderly sell-off: the TICK readings throughout the day showed no signs of panic ...

A very different picture today on the TICKS although, sadly, I don't have my TradeStation super-duper platform at my disposal in my hotel, so the layout is a little different.

A -1000 tick reading is generally considered to be at the extremes of a normal range. Today, it's hitting -1400.

Yesterday was controlled selling; it's POSSIBLY getting a bit more serious ...

It's incredible, isn't it? Look how hard they've tried today - volume says it all ...

Look at how hard they're trying again and Gold just keeps bouncing back........ so far.

Now you know why I hate banks and bankers. They are criminal organisations.
I'll wager if you look at all the red spikes previously each month they would coincide with options expiry dates.

Heres another fun fact.
Stock buybacks amongst US companies were at record levels...... ie they have been buying back their own stock at higher and higher prices for years.....another form of ponzi.
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-05-02/great-stock-buyback-debate

These stocks are now becoming worth less and less each day as markets keep falling.......

Totally agree - in fact they usually give a heads up as to the state of the economy - a bull market is not a party without the transports, the semiconductors or the financials. Transports getting annihilated:

(IYT is a US transport ETF)
Motor manufacturers.....Hotel chains too.......

This man is a fuck1ing idiot and he is hoping you are too.
Can you imagine what would happen if he admitted , "yes, it will be a fuck1ng disaster"......what did she expect him to say?
Do bankers tell you their bank will collapse before it does......

At the moment it looks like gold is holding up, and the shorting has run its course - who knows?

The equity futures markets look weak again, probably due to the further spread to other countries within Europe, and now South America too.

Having spent 5 hours on trains yesterday, with another 5 due on my return journey today, I'm beginning to think (reluctantly) that I'm going to have to add miles to the Maz to minimise my exposure risks. I felt really uneasy on the Tube ...

WH Ireland - shares are cheap, trading below break up value, new board new management team all of whom have invested cash into the business and received options. Kitchen sink set of results last time but turn around showing at the half year. Key question is if they can have some results without a rights issue - so one to watch
