Just read that he got a 10 game ban for the bite on the chelsea player, so what do FIFA do considering it's his 3rd biting offence - they give him a reduced ban of 9 games..incredible!

It's actually more severe as it's 9 Premier League games, all international, cup, friendly games for 4 months, he cannot enter a football stadium or training ground for 4 months.

I thought that FIFA would've said that the evidence was inconclusive as let's face it you cannot see him actually bite.

So in my book, FIFA could have been harsher but they've done better than I thought they would.

You can clearly see him bite the Italian player - he bends forward to take the bite. Plus the Italian immediately pulls his shirt away to reveal the bite marks - what more evidence do you need...

Dem, please don't try and defend the indefensible. The guy is an unhinged tw*t and the sooner people stop making excuses for him the better.

Agree with Benny. Seriously, he has physiological issues and needs to sit down with a shrink to understand why he has this problem.

This!

We were talking at length about his actions and also his extremely large set of Gnashers today ad we came to the conclusion that the guy simply cannot help himself and that the "Bite" is an involuntary reaction much like a tick etc.... someone does something to annoy him or things don't go his way and nom, nom, nom, nom off he goes.

What a seriously ****** up state he is in!

I don't think Dem was trying to defend Suarez, more point out that FIFA could've been the useless organisation most of us think they are and done nothing citing inconclusive evidence.

Yes Suarez leans in. Yes it looks like Suarez most likely bites him. Yes the Italian appears to have tooth marks. But the key distinction is that IT APPEARS. With the angle of the camera you simply cannot be definite.

So well done FIFA on actually banning Suarez. As I thought fifa would be useless and just try and sweep it under the carpet.

Now if only fifa can now sort out the bribery issue...

You are most probably right. From his earlier replies Dem appeared to be as equally p!ssed off with him as are the rest of us. However, his post regarding the origin of the bite marks seemed to indicate that his stance was softening. Hopefully I was wrong, in which case I apologise for any perceived terseness on my part.

Let's put this into perspective.
Over the next 3 - 6 months, go to your normal place of work and bite a colleague.....then claim it's stress related. Do the same a couple of other times and then say that everyone is over reacting.
Let's see if you get fined a weeks wages and told not to come back for a few months.
THIS IS F***** ridiculous and a total disgrace.

Cheers Wattie
