Woody, am I going to regret not getting an LE? mine seems to have most of the options, (i prefer the silver alloys), but am i going to miss out on cruise control....?
anyway, reading through the site it looks like i can get that retro fitted...

Must say had cruise control on a few cars and never ever used it............Waste of time......Unless..I suppose you drive 3 hours a day on a motorway...

Got it on my GS but don't like using it much, even though I do generally like having it. (Got it retro fitted on two other cars).
Doesn't really suit the Maser and I find it annoying to use and seems to decrease the mpg IMHO.

I retro fitted it on my 4200 and I use it all the time on the motorway. I find it gets round the Italian driving position and reduces leg fatigue considerably. It's also very useful for the average speed camera sections. A good option to have IMO.

You are spot on K99, i had a similar crude control on an ex, (406 coupe), could'nt get you up a modest hill. I'm sure I wont miss it, its just that you have it and I do not :)

Mine has no trouble at all getting up even steep hills. Perhaps it's down to the extra power and torque these cars produce over the 406. Just a wild guess.

I would say not if you have most of the kit. The only person who should regret it is the original buyer - it was better value than buying the component parts as options.

I believe cruise is a very very simple retro fit. It isn't part of the LE pack. I've thought about having it fitted to mine, but reckon the only time I've ever used cruise is in average speed zones. Even at a couple of hundred quid, not sure It's worth it to me.

well it could be but the dealer has 2, an 06 listed as an LE and the one Ive gone for, 07 but no mention of LE on the spec sheet. Could be lazy description entry. im not that bothered but i wil probably get the cruise stick retro fitted.

The cruise control stick is only around £75.00 the last i checked ,i have it on the 4200 as original spec gut my GS doesn't have it , the wiring is in place so its a simple diy job to do yourself about 20 mins max , tho i agree with Woody , only time i have ecver used it is on the 50mph average speed lanes on the motorway , worth having thi in my opinion saves some anxiety and foot boredom

Aren't all 07/08 reg cars LEs?

No. Logic would say they would be, but they aren't. Mind, there's no such thing as an 08 GS, production stopped in April 07 which makes me think a number of 07 reg'd cars may be 06 manufactured . Speculating on that though.

Yep, could well be. I did wonder what that 08 GS in ADG had been doing for a year. And logic would suggest that a GS built in 06 could be registered as a 07.

I've never really thought about it but, all things being equal, is an LE worth more than a non-LE?

The LE's on the market seem to be sitting just over the standard cars. Im sure you are right, its just a registration timing issue.
I guess at 4 years the service history and dealership background info is more valuable than the LE badge, at least thats how I felt, Id still like to have the red line on the logo though :)

I always wanted leather but is techno cloth bad? When these cars become collectable i can see the cloth being the one to go for....

IMO the techno cloth is not bad at all. Visually not a pleasant as leather but feels good on the seats. If it stains, it could be a headache to clean it though.

Techno cloth is the same stuff they used to put on 1980's peacocks trainers.....

Will say though on the right colour car its OK.....This one looks OK...A bit pricey for an 04 car but you do get a Maserati warrenty buut silver looks good with techno.
