I've dropped in a 2.8 24v engine from a later BMW. It needed a few custom parts to make it fit - wiring loom, exhaust manifolds, engine mounts, radiator etc. but it's almost there. Also running a 328i sport gearbox. The engine has also had a couple of modifications done to it already, so should be good for about 230-240bhp - plenty in a car of this weight and about 60-70bhp up on the old engine. I've also had a different flywheel lightened to fit from the standard 328i dual-mass thing so it will also spin much more freely. Can't wait to drive it, but knowing my time contstraints all the good weather will have gone before I get the chance!

Wish I had made you an offer on that when you asked me......Its was a stunner before you put in the engine in...Now it's even more desirable....

Not a bad show tonight I think it was the fact they actually reviewed some decent cars and did not do one of their contrived challenges made it work for me

Tonights show was good, i quite like the Mclaren after seeing a couple of them up close, i think the quality is superb.

Hate the new Range Rover thing, looks aweful and is very ”Cheshire”.
However, that Merc CL600, what a heap of junk.

Really good show Frank agree.....

Shame they didn't put the 6k cars all to the test...just to see what they thought of the GTV...But great show...............Adam, I like the new baby range rover......thought it looked really good especially in two door and it went better than I thought it would....Yes it is a fashion thing though...

Well tue RX 8 is cheaper.....looked last year for christina & it was 4k....under 40k also

I've had one and my wife has too. They're amazing for the money. A good friend of mine picked up a mint one with fsh at the local auction the other night for £3700, 55 plate with 23000 miles on it. Staggering amount of car for that cash. High powered version too.

That is amazing value, was at an auction the other week, 55 plate BMW M6 48k miles, sold for £16750, that is a bargain.
