Again taking advantage of the ease of access while the dash is removed for heater core replacement, this morning, over an hour with the carpet extraction machine. The amount of dirt a carpet can hide is astounding. Some patches will apparently never come truly clean again.

Carpeting is just gross, generally.

Drove the Coupe to and fro! Dealer said my work provided Maaaalllibuuuu had no oil in it...despite me being first driver of a brand new car and only having 4300 miles, and with no other notice than a CEL and message that "engine power [was] reduced." Oddly, I couldn't tell the difference...anyway, Malibu is repaired, reoiled, and returned.

Bummer it got returned so quickly, if weather supports Coupe time!

Feel like I’m monopolizing the thread these days but have been rather obsessed with cleaning up the Spyder while she is in pieces.
Happened upon this leather protectant, and it is outstanding. Cleaned up the (newly reglued) steering wheel, visors, console, and shifter boot. They were already well cleaned but now a much more even sheen to them, and a protective layer to ward off future abuse .
Dash and seats yet to go.
Heater core arrived at Brassworks today for rework to get the right sized hose connections.

Hi I came across these vents for a MK2 Fiat Punto.they look similar to my vents on my 4200 Spyder so at £12 the pair, I took a punt.
Trouble is my car is away getting a water pump, so I do not know if they will fit, As you have your car in bits, does the mesurements on these Punto vents look similar to the Maserati ones?

Looks like the diameter is good for the center vents but are far deeper than the stock vents. Pics and measurements of the center and outer vents are below for comparison. I believe Alfa166 vents can be found as replacements, though not on this side of the pond as the Alfa166 wasn’t sold here.

Having just done the sticky thing, the vents weren’t hard at all! A rough cloth and rubbing alcohol and rub them down while catching a show or some music, done in no time. Very satisfying! Do wear some work gloves or the sticky ends up all over your hands though.

Just been for a fifteen mile run in the Biturbo 430, the heater / demister works...! I think there's a local diner meet tomorrow at Long Itchington so if it's dry we'll take it out for another run.

Are, the LID. A fine establishment. I drove past it earlier in my QPV.
