I'm not sure what insurance write-offs have got to do with anything but the GTS in the link has been owned by a car club, the kind of club where XYZ people throw in XYZ amount of pounds a year to drive it for XYZ days a year.

So in other words no different to a hire car (and we all know how sympathetic people are with them...)

So you think these cars can be thrashed around like 1.4 litre Corsas, without crashing and without being locked up!

You can pootle along at 140mph using half the available power (where legal). Does this really need explaining?

Been to see one today (not the one in the last link) and it was in quite a worn state internally, the exterior was in better condition though to be fair.

What do the interiors normally wear like? Any particular places that are known weak spots? I've owned many many cars from different manufacturers and some can hide their age well whereas others can be unfairly (to theirselves) exaggerated.

Maserati light leather can looked worn over time compared to the dark leather especially the driver seat. Easy fixed with a good leather repairer.

Right hand bolster of driver seat, right hand edge and corners of centre console and the rear centre console corners and edges where small people seem tempted to put their little feet!

Looking at a QP with the engine number 138981, I assume that this would be in the scope of the variatiors?

Thanks, I've just put a deposit on it.

That is good news....Thought you may have bought one as you were asking if those GT wheels in the classifieds were still for sale....Look forward to hearing more about the car you have a deposit on buddy.

Is this a facelift car? It has the later hi-fi (compared to that fitted to my 2008 car).

Always like red stitching with black leather.

Has the big paddles too - great on a 4.7 less so on a 4.2.

Yes, Ewan. I'm sure OP said somewhere it was a facelift from memory. A 58 plate & looks facelift to me. This will be a mid LCI 'facelift' rather than much later facedrop!

Why not the full 'facelift'? They started making them in September 2008.
