How much is a good 944? 5k?

The best Turbos are now over £20k, but an average turbo with, say, 150k miles can be had for about £7k. You'd be lucky to get a good one below £10k.

The early non-turbo cars are a different matter, and £5k is plenty for one of those.

For the later non-turbos (I.e. the S2) you're looking at between £6k and £10k for a good one.

Just shows how the puerile antics on those three could have got their crew into serious problems. Had they not baited the whole show it could have been an epic road trip.

Sadly that racist bigot Clarkson winds up most people.

TG has damaged itself and indeed the Beeb, shame really, when they feel the need to up the ante as guys tend to do and no one had the bottle to say they'd crossed a line.

The beaver gag was funniest part, the cars got lost in it all.

Pity

Loved tg over the years but this left me wanting something. As for the number plate how could they not know.

and did you notice that no matter what they did the number plates were always spotlessly clean, they certainly knew what they were doing

It might be that the plate actually belonged to the Porsche so perhaps they knew what plate they wanted, got it and constructed the show to fit. If H982FKL had been on a Mini they could have said it was a tribute to small front wheel drive town cars. It wasn't, it was on a Porsche 928 so they built the show around big V8s. However, it does seem a bit suspicious that the previous owner of the 928 has, apparently, been gagged by the BBCs lawyers.

Not seen the 2nd one yet but the number plate wasn't on the front of the car for most of the 1st part. It fell off in the marsh.....

They knew what they were doing, they also edited it down in both episodes not to make a point of showing it so they could come out of this not looking like idiots but I afraid they did.

The whole Falklands issue blew up again last year too so it was a tinderbox waiting to go off.

Learn from your mistakes this time Clarkeson!

Agreed Matt, to drive in there like that to an area where the Belgrano launched from with so many people who fought in the war is simply ******* stupid, arrogant and asking for a good kicking. People have been shot for less.

Now that would have been worth watching

Clarkson has learnt from his mistakes ( but not in the way we imagine), most lime light types do, once in the public eye and people want more of you, you continuously need to go the extra mile until you hit something, this time it was the Argentinians......last time mexicans, before that the Burmese/Thai(?), before that India, ....etc......

Every employer owes their employees a duty of care.....in this case the Beeb fell flat on its face, who goes out with a script, sound boom, camera to find they are facing a mob baying for blood 10000 miles from home?
