I've owned the same V8 Esprit twice. They are awesome cars and, like our Maseratis, if properly maintained extremely robust and reliable. Watching the red one last night made me want to own it a third time........

I had a 1990 G plate Turbo and loved it...Used it everyday and it never missed a beat...and had 96k on the clock....

Always loved 928 Porkers, they is a certain style about them. That Ford is like most of them a pile of ****

The TG recipe is very worn these days but wastes an hour I guess. The Guy Martin "this is my life" show on C4 earlier was much better.

I agree Zag, and the show about the old wooden boats going down the Grand Canyon. That had some awesome shots.

Should have got a Noble! I have one. It is the most amazing car I have ever driven. Once you have driven one it makes everything seem very ordinary in comparison.

I'm glad you like the Noble, they are great cars. However, I'm still glad I bought the Spyder.

I keep thinking of changing my 951 for a 928, but the complexity of the electrics does make me nervous. Lotus looks great as well.

How much is a good 944? 5k?

Depends which model you want Dem.

5k will buy a good 2.5 or 2.7 and a reasonable S2 but if you want a good Turbo then 7 to 8k plus for a nice one.

I had a Turbo for 6 years which had been played with (320bhp) and there was not much on the twisty stuff that could keep up with it.
Great fun for the money.

They are the best ones to buy! We bought the naggers 'dog-carrier', a BM 320D Touring, when it was 4 yo and wearing 143k. It's now up to 223k and runs beautifully, getting low/mid 50s on a run. It was, IIRC, specced to £24k when new and we paid about £3.6k. I'd like to get another 40-50k out of it before it moves on.

My previous E46 320D Touring started falling apart from 130K miles.
Rear damper would seize and punch itself through the boot floor, front caliper would seize, a/c pulley nearly fell off etc etc and this was a car that was never cold used daily for work.
My current E91 is okay at the moment, just done 70K miles. Only fault was the bluetooth module packed in but BMW paid 90% out of warranty.

No no! No car over 75k is worth anything! ;)
