Now that is a dining table! I'm not sure I would have that many friends

Neither do I mate - I knew about 4 or 5 of them.

Nor even want that many. Especially the sort that demanded that kind of fancy bollox!

Sweetbreads?

I dont even own enough dishes to set that table unless you include the paper plates :)

As for the washing up. If the table is that size there must be a chef and clean up crew to support it.

**** right there were caterers!

Knackered now though, perfect timing to go to a medical. Hope everyone has a cracking time at the SM Christmas doooo today!

Luckily for me I have attended many event in such salubrious settings.

The WO's & Sgts mess functions I attended over 14 years were fantastic occasions... which was why as a young soldier and doing the washing up I knew I wanted to be at the function rather than servicing it.....
In the RAF, we had a trade that did the serving, the Steward, allied with the Clerk Caterer, aka bar steward.

Us techies were paid far too much to dish Captains Flashart and Biggles their grub.

Good Morning all, just getting up for the drive to the karting, see you around 11.

Errr. Just woke up. Better get a move on if I want to get to the Ace.

Hope the car starts. Haven't driven it for almost 4 weeks. Don't even know if it has petrol!

Yep - I seem to remember from Le Mans that you could not drag yourself out of your pit in the mornings !!!!!

Well us youngsters like a lie in. It is only the old folk that find themselves getting up at 5am to pee and then can't get back to sleep.

Morning all, up early to get the Mas out before the alley was blocked then a lazy start to the day, still feeling well under par but will do my best to get through the day in the SM tradition. Not going to make Ace or karting so will head for the afternoon pub instead.

Walk the dogs firs methinks.

Have fun all...

Let's face it mate, it's not just alcohol that isn't your friend! Also, getting Dem to do anything to your face is just asking for trouble! :D

Morning.
Our lads U10 Hockey tournament matches this morning in Leeds.
At least it looks dry.
Four matches throughout the morning, lots of standing around trying to keep warm!
At this stage with the team being so young, the hockey sticks somehow become swords...off pitch of course!
Go Dragons!!

Morning all, Spyder tripped its alarm last night which is always a sure sign of the battery getting flat so it went on the trickle charger last night and will need to be taken out for a run today.
