You need to get yourself a Revolut card. I have been using it for a year. It is essentially a pre paid credit card but with no charges and you can make cash machine withdrawals in foreign countries with really good competitive rates with no commission.

Been working really well for me.

Second that Hoyin; had a Kalixa before that which was similar The Revolute does however need some time to realise where you are I have found. This is a problem when you arrive in a country (as I did in Sunday) with no cash and try to use an ATM, because of the location based security it won't give it to you! Ok it only takes an hour or so but that was just too long on Sunday! Otherwise I find it brilliant and the rates are awesome.

Ah yes; the lad failed his test when a van swerved into his lane as he came off a slip road, the van did not indicate, swerved in then out and even apologised for not seeing him but the examiner thought this was a major...

Next chance is 13th Jan so he is on the train in the meantime! It has cost him over £1k so far this A2 test and he still has not got the license!

Table set.

Dinner Table Before the party.jpg

Apparently we are having a dinner chez nous this evening, and I'm not allowed to wear jeans. Not looking forward to washing up.

I was fancying a Friday night curry....

The problem here is: I'm *pretty* sure you're joking. (at least with the photo). But not *completely* sure :)

I assume this is not your home? Or is it?

If it is F@gK moi. I don't envy you washing all those dishes and cutlery.

I dont even own enough dishes to set that table unless you include the paper plates :)

As for the washing up. If the table is that size there must be a chef and clean up crew to support it.

Luckily for me I have attended many event in such salubrious settings.

The WO's & Sgts mess functions I attended over 14 years were fantastic occasions... which was why as a young soldier and doing the washing up I knew I wanted to be at the function rather than servicing it.....

Morning all,

Off to brave the Xmas shopping in Leeds this morning. Need to be there early to try to get Apple to do something about my terrible battery life on the phone. No appointments available to book so have to turn up at opening time. You would have thought that a tech company could manage booking appointments more than a week ahead?

Enjoy the SM Xmas bash everyone.
