Morning all, I am mostly not seeing Dave Gillmore today, I am in Hatfield this morning then Essex this afternoon. Flight deadline looming and still masses to do! Spent much of last night trying to copy 50,000 plus photos onto ex Catman's old laptop so I can take it with me and write up some reports during quiet times on the trip.

Have fun all...

Morning all, hangover yesterday after a session in Budapest! Made it home and hit the sack for 8:30pm, I just cannot do drinking and functioning the next day like I used to. I'm tempted to do the Sober October thing but we will see :D

Off to badminton now and sweat the rest out! Off for a spin in the Maser soon so that's always a nice way to spend an hour or so too!

Morning everyone, I hope you're all well.

Sorry for the radio silence for the last couple of months but it's been ridiculously busy. Work has gone nuts, I have had no real time off since Christmas, we got a new puppy a couple of months ago who has kept us busy and we are putting on a dog related seminar this coming weekend which has involved all sorts of presentation preparation, public liability insurance, venue hire, catering, risk assessment ....
I had an issue with the nearside rear suspension on the GTS too which I can only guess was caused by a pothole and that took an age to sort out. I ended up using the accidental damage clause in my insurance (check you've got it - these GTS parts are super expensive) but they were great about it, as were Marshall Peterborough who I can't praise highly enough, and the car is back in rude health now and is better than ever with new rear springs, shocks and tyres - what a delight!

I look forward to catching up with some threads I've missed over the next week or so. Have a good Friday everyone

Morning all, good to see you back again Stuart!

Cow pie night in the local gastropub last night. I finished mine, and may never need to eat again... Hadn't realised it was going to be apparently most of a cow.

Morning everyone!
Good to see you back, Stuart, and pleased with the result of your car's work.
I enjoyed making a subtle entrance to Oxford this morning with Myfanwy. New tyres will be going on her today so I can finally have some nice rubber as opposed to the only alright ones that have been on since I got the car - but I wanted to trash them at Brunty before paying for some nice new Michelins! Got a full set of Pilot Super Sports going on! Wahey!
Unfortunaly I would have liked to go for the Eagle F1 Assym 3's, but right now they're not available in the GS rear size. I found out that they will be from mid-October for any of you who are interested. Thing is, I need an MOT, but I doubt I'll be unhappy with the PSS's!

Happy Friday everyone!

Morning all, welcome back Stu.

Off to Amsterdam this weekend with some couples, another heavy one I suppose but I don't partake in the local cafe habits!

Sex Museum on Sunday, lets see if I can learn anything new, do they have a suggestions box and I wonder what they sell in the shop (every museum has one) I suppose an assortment of colourful rib ticklers.

Morning all, day one of my week long slog, yes I know it's Friday but that's the beauty of shifts. At least two days are over the weekend and I won't get any interruptions so I can catch up with the 179 emails in my inbox! Not that I live by emails, if they were important people would call me.
Miss England had an interesting landing earlier today, apparently her flaps wouldn't fully deploy and her slats were stuck too, she is a Virgin though!

I know what you're all thinking but here a photo of what I'm talking about...

That's who we flew back to the UK on last Friday morning!

What does that all mean anyway?

It means the landing was faster than normal and they used lots of reverse thrust and brakes in order to reduce speed very quickly!

Essentially the wings are a lot smaller than they would normally be when landing, likewise they are not so curled so not providing the usual lift so to keep the plane in the air the landing has to be a lot faster than usual! I believe it is described as a 'HOT landing'....
