167/115 is not high blood pressure. I was 247/142 a few years ago - that's what's called dangerously high blood pressure!

That explains a lot with you!

I am now 134/93 with a pulse of 66. It was either the curry I had last night or more probably this stuff:

I have stayed off it all day after having 3 heaped cups before I went in to the quaks this morning.

My resting is 49bpm , 66 is high! You need to tune your body like mine Matt where it is at a pinnacle of fitness. In Spinning my max rate hits 185bpm , they say 220 minus your age to roughly calculate max HR so yours is somewhere around 160!

To get your heart rate up to that level takes some serious determination. There are quite a few fitness freaks on here so why don't we organize a fitness weekend with Spinning, boxercise and running? :D

Average spin class, 570 Cals done

I am taking the machine to Boxing tonight and am going to do a reading, full sweat on.

My resting BPM is a tad higher than 49 (averages out about 51-2 according to Fitbit). Peak can go up to about 170+ But I'm older than you :)

Thing is that there's a lot of learned stuff in that. I've *never* spun, so the muscles that I'd need to use won't have the same bloody supply or memory that yours do. On the other hand, if you'd like to spend 5 minutes sparring, I suspect I can get your pulse up :)

I was always taught it was more about recovery rate to determine how fit you are. Whatever that means.....

That leads me to recovery rate. Within 3 minutes of max I am down to 99bpm and down to 65 in 8 minutes. Yep recovery rate is a big factor in determining fitness levels.

Sound! Don't need to bother with all that tae chi / Jeunehomme do stuff just windmill it!

I am off to a Tai Chi class tomorrow morning!

I did some years ago and then other things got in the way. I am pretty stressed oot sometimes and so I go for a drive in the QP which helps
So I thought another go at the Tai Chi may do some good.

Just seeing that tin of sh1te has put my blood pressure up! Get some real coffee OB; sip an espresso, sit in the sun and learn to chill. :excellent:

It's unlikely to do any harm :)
