The good morning thread

The view looks familiar, Phil. I've not stayed at the Hilton so I must be thinking of somewhere else. Stayed in the Interconti City last time (Al Jazeera has a good rate there) but prefer the hotels by the beach. They suffer less from Doha's interminable dust from its constant building work.

Forget you are in the same industry :) , been at BeIn all week.
beach day tomorrow.

Good planning. I'll be there the week after next but no beach time - I'll already have missed Mrs. N's birthday so staying away longer to kick back on the beach *may* not be seen as good planning on my part. A part which would quite likely be removed, with extreme prejudice.

Well I got through the day....

Didn't start turning wheels from Russell Hall Hospital Dudley till 13:10 home 15:40 out 16:05 to Redbridge station; missed the first part of my meeting but that was not so important, just annoying, but there in good time for the main event and a super meal afterwards, back to Redbridge to collect the van and then the last hour printing paperwork for tomorrow which involves an 05:20 start to get across central London and over Southwark Bridge before the congestion charge kicks in to be at Clapham Common for about 07:45. Mostly welding and repairing ancient equipment tomorrow so here's hoping for not a lot of rain????

Morning Newton. Time for a coffee in Clapham?

Morning Andy. I heartily follow that sentiment!

Have a great Friday, everyone!

Morning all. Back from Manchester, now heading into London. Poker night tonight and looking forward to Ryan's Run at the weekend. It'll be the first time I've driven the GS properly since Modena, should be good with refreshed brakes and new tyres.

Morning all.

It's certainly autumn out there today but seems slowly to be brightening up. A day of trying to catch up on the last week, or three, today, happily from home. It's felt like Friday since Monday so TF it's finally here.

Ryan's Run on Sunday looks like an excellent and fitting thrash. But for the distance and the fact that I'm committed already on Sunday afternoon I'd love to head north for that. There's some Supercars of Essex thing some time on Sunday - a drive out from Battlesbridge to Witham. I'll try and find out more and update on here. In the meantime: https://www.facebook.com/Supercarsofessex?fref=ts

Havre a good day, everyone.

Morning all, survived the morning ritual and the tube to be able to spend the day in front of a computer typing what looks like gibberish and having a meeting with someone who doesn't want to be here - kind of an exit interview, but hopefully she'll be more open with me than with HR or her manager. Could be fun!

Looking forward to the weekend.

I think I'll do something different for lunch. I'm going get sweaty then hang around a kids playground with a dodgy looking bearded geezer who's playing with his tools.

Have fun, all

Of course mate!

I only have a cold - biggest problem was my nose bleeding profusely yesterday, and it's really sore today - I daren't touch it. I can work through the rest of it, but blood pouring out all over the shirt and suit isn't a good look, particularly in the offices of a global drugs manufacturer! Sitting at home, wondering when I can sneak out to sit in one of the Masers without getting shouted at.

There's a CTEK supposedly arriving in the post today, so hoping that will provide a suitable excuse.
