My GPS says I've done over 170 in Doris at some point, but mostly not interested in looking at the speedo at that kind of speed so not sure where.

you just have to hope that one day big brother doesn't access your phone, those gps recordings might be incriminating

I'm thinking that even a still will pinpoint where we offend!

Done 165 in our AC, two up and luggage, on the way to Monaco and then we had to slow down for traffic pulling out at the last minute (these frenchies)..!! It was still pulling and felt great, so who knows..??

The first ZX10R I rode did 108 in first! The road test said 106 indicated, but I wrung it's neck and just beat it. It wasn't my bike by the way.

Not a clue for me, I never watch the speedo when having fun and only ever remember to check it once I am slowing down. I should sort some way of checking with gps I guess.

A friend has an ultima (currently for sale on pistonheads) which was shown to have achieved 207mph on the GPS!

In my humble Alfa GT oil burner, I had 140 on the speedo and Sat Nav.
But I was going down hill.

Still pretty good. :numberone:

all whilst in germany on an autobahn
maserati 3200ac 100 (whimp)
lotus esprit s4 145 (very scary the front started to lift and i backed off - it only looks aerodynamic
bmw 635 (old type) 125 and rock steady
merc 230e 120 and what a noise , when i stopped it sounded like a sewing machine - oil changed cured it
by far the best achievment in 114 mph out of a 1.2 nova (57bhp) with 5 lads in it going downhill, but it did have the all important k and n filter so about 150bhp really

160 on French country lanes is a death wish really but you got lucky.... It's asking for trouble on an empty motorway at 3am if a tyre lets go but I guess that is a risk we take.
