So do we know how long ago the car was up to it's waste in water....Was it through the recent floods or the last year...?

Andy, i reckon thats a myth the waste height thing , from what i could make out and guess what most likely happened is that the original owner driver drove into flood water, the engine hrdrolocked , he opened the door to get out and water came into the drivers side compartment/footwell , there was no evidence of water being in the passenger side , and it was 4 months back

Anyone who pays £16k for it needs their head examining. There is £4k of work to do there so if it owes you £20k and carries a cat D then where is the bargin?

I reackon this will fetch 13k. And i have a gut feeling, the engine is savable, making this a bargain. So warrant 3k max, and suddenly, looks better.

The engine is toast Andy, Loz tried to turn it over and that was with a couple of the plugs out, so the con rods are banana'd, pistons probably cracked, and the crank scrap from the force.

I remember seeing a car just like that on a trailer some months back and he's now trying to sell the damaged front bumper??? WHAT'S HE ON???

I can see the logic of selling parts off the car, but trying to sell a damaged bumper is like trying to sell a blown engine, what's the point and who would be daft enough to buy it?

Have you not grasped the intention of the eBay listing?! The seller is just advertising the fact that he's breaking a 4200. The damaged bumper is academic... this is the way a lot of breakers use eBay to advertise.

Looks to me he's virtually just cut and pasted the same add as the GS , or it is the first 4200 that has a push button start , and no mention of the in built carphone or satnav , how well does he know these cars, and he forgot to mention the split spoiler on the front bumper , he's obviously cleaned it since i saw it the photo's make it look half sensible, has a roof phone ariel and not the rear wing jobby, i reckon he's put the bids in himself to start it off , anyone know that private plate number thats doesn't come with it
