I bet that get's a bit warm Roger..??
Peter,
You're making me yearn for the open roads of sunny Europe mate..!!
Hi therePlanning a road trip to Monaco in May to hopefully watch the GP. Thinking of going from Calais down to Dijon (overnight booked already) and then onto Nice. The A996 road has been recommended? After having a mooch around thought we'd head to Genoa and then up to Lake Maggiore (overnight perhaps) and then up to Lucern onto Basel and into Germany towards Strasbourg, hopefully taking in an unrestricted Autobahn! Finally heading across to Reims and then back to Calais.
Would appreciate any suggestions or experiences of anyone who's done this trip and any "must do" roads.
Thanks in advance
Blu
Really rubbish with taking pics chaps, far too busy driving and listening.
A few attached anyway including view we had for the Monaco GP and driving round the circuit afterwards, parked in front of one of the Ferrari trucks, no doubt containing bits of Massa's car!
Garage lift thingy was at a hotel on lake Maggiore with a rather compact underground carpark, the sensors went nuts!
Obviously had to take pics outside the factory, I'll post another thread on this.
Highly recommended!
Cheers Blu

Sounds like a great trip, Blu. And the colour of your car... *sigh*
We're wondering about a Provence / Nice / Monaco trip this summer. We've stopped a few times in Dijon on the way up and down but would welcome any other tips... routes, stopovers with a large, empty, covered car park - all the critical things. How did you do it?
