Go on then, I'll bite! Yes please, show us what's inside. (At a guess, probably a lot of big bore, perforated pipe along the back of the box and two smaller bore perforated pipes coming off at 90 degrees going to the outlets, surrounded by lots of sound deadening).

Yea, usually making the overall exhaust pipe length longer the quieter the exhaust note..
Hence the curvy bits
Anyone cut open a 3200 rear box yet...

This is exactly what I wanted to see . I'm just about to gut mine and clam shell the pipes. Mind you I wasn't expecting that ! No wonder they are so quiet ! Time to rip that out all that pipe work and just put straight through pipes front entry to exit

Yep I wasn't exspecting that to makes life a bit more difficult but this is what I was thinking .

It's roughly to sale , need a reducer , a bend and some pipe .

Thats unbelievable, so restrictive the transfer from the exhaust gases entering the silencer, to then going down both tail pipes.
Would be interesting to see the inside of the valved GS rear boxes for comparison, and the larini arrangement, valved and unvalved.

Bloody ****. I think I'm going to go with the simple option. Bypass them totally with valves

I would think looking at it it would be easier to block one of the exit pipes off and just have a U bend straight from the inlet to the other out let . This might restrict the flow , but looking at the cr@p that's in there probably not !
